What’s
The Site About?
Originally published on the web in early 2003, I wrote this website
as a way of sharing with others the long term build of a Vincent Black
Lightning replica that I started way back in 1988.
Over a period of 2 years I added many Vincent related articles to the
site, but also started to include detail of other work and restorations
I was involved in.
In 2004 the Vincent restoration took a back seat as I returned to my
other favourite marque and started rebuilding one of the three Norton
singles I still own.
This last build, of a pre-war racing Norton, gave me the idea of extending
the web site, to give it a more dual purpose identity, with a major
section to cover the SOHC Manx Norton (and International) as well as
retaining the original format in parallel, for those more interested
in the Vincent.

So what you see
here is the first major redesign of the site, with a new home page that
allows you to navigate through either type, each with it’s own
particular identity.
Finally, for good measure I have also included a few useful utilities
which you can download, some interesting soundtracks and a couple of
smaller sections for Ducati and Royal Enfield enthusiasts.
Also for the first time, I have also included a section detailing spares
I have for sale. This may also include some newly manufactured parts
for SOHC Manx Norton’s later in 2006.
As before, the main purpose of the website is for me to share my love
of building and restoring motorcycles with others. I shall continue
to add to the site whenever I get the time, and will continue to welcome
any comments or feedback you may have, by emailing me at the following
address: paul.norman@racingvincent.co.uk.
Best Wishes,
Paul Norman.
